About PermaPress Recording

Swag lamps from the seventies

In 1997, Pat Kearns opened a small, 16-track recording studio in Portland named
Studio 13, recorded tons of punk/garage bands as well as singer/songwriters.
In the fall of 2006, he expanded operations by opening The Color Lab in
Portland, OR. After 6 months, the Lab had run its course and Pat moved
operations to NE Portland and named the new studio PermaPress Recording.
